Vietnamese swimmer wins another gold medal at 3rd Asian Para Games

(VOVWORLD) - Swimmer Vo Thanh Tung won another gold medal for Vietnam after finishing men’s 50m backstroke S5 at the ongoing Asian Para Games in Indonesia yesterday. This is the second gold medal that Vietnamese swimmers have bagged at the games.

Earlier, swimmer Nguyen Thanh Trung secured the first gold medal for Vietnam after taking lead at the men’s 100m breaststroke event for athletes with disability category of SB4.

Today, Tung will continue vying in other five events – 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 100m freestyle, 200m medley and 200m freestyle. The Vietnamese delegation had won four gold, one silver, and five bronze medals, ranking sixth in the medal tally.
