Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership grows

(VOVWORLD) - President Tran Dai Quang’s upcoming state visit to India shows Vietnam’s eagerness to boost ties with India, Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh said at a press conference on Monday.

Mr Thanh said the visit is an opportunity for the two countries to review past cooperation achievements and seek measures to foster their comprehensive strategic partnership.

President Quang’s visit aims to boost cooperation and strengthen political trust, deepen defense and security relations, increase cooperation in economics, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange, and seek cooperation in education and technology. 

Ambassador Thanh said the Vietnam-India comprehensive strategic partnership has grown significantly over the years. Vietnam and India see great potential as two of the fastest growing economies in the world. They are being active in opening markets and taking advantage of opportunities in the global value chain.
