(VOVworld) – A Vietnam-Japan Agriculture Business Forum was held on Tuesday for enterprises to share information and experience in the agricultural sector.

The event was held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. The participants said investment in the agricultural sector is limited and agricultural production still suffers from natural disasters and market risks. Investment has been ineffective and added values are not as high as those in the industrial sector, so more enterprises should be encouraged to invest in the agricultural sector. Japanese enterprises expressed their hope that Vietnam will continue to improve its investment environment and administrative reforms to boost cooperation between enterprises of Vietnam and Japan, especially in implementing a medium - long-term vision of Vietnam-Japan agricultural cooperation.
