Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative helps improve business climate

(VOVWORLD) - 28 policy dialogues were held between Vietnamese and Japanese agencies involved in the sixth phase of the Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative, over the past year.

The results were announced at a meeting of the Joint Committee of the Vietnam-Japan Initiative held in Hanoi on Thursday to review implementation of the sixth phase. According to the Committee, 19 out of 32 items to be done in the period have been completed as scheduled. The 19 items cover services, support for small and medium-sized enterprises, logistics, transportation, and labor. Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung said: “We will continue to work together on plans for the next phase, focusing on Vietnam’s technology development, encouraging private sector investment in infrastructure, and publicizing the Vietnam-Japan agreement”.

The Vietnam-Japan Joint Initiative is improving Vietnam’s business environment, encouraging Japanese investment in Vietnam, and fostering the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
