Vietnam-Romania’s friendship consolidated

(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association held a ceremony in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on Saturday to mark Romania’s 99th Great Union Day (December 1, 1918-2017).

Speaking at the event, Nguyen Si Thang, President of HCMC’s branch of the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association, thanked the Romanian people’s support for Vietnam during its struggle for independence and national construction. More than 4000 Vietnamese engineers and experts trained in Romania have contributed their knowledge and experience to Vietnam’s national construction and development, as well as to consolidating the two countries’ friendship.

Romanian Ambassador to Vietnam Valeriu Arteni hailed the Vietnam-Romania Friendship Association’s important role in strengthening bilateral ties between Vietnam and Romania over the past 26 years.
