Vietnam’s Defense delegation attends UN Chiefs of Defence Conference

(VOVworld) – Vietnam has always exerted efforts to keep peace and stability, protest violence, and take common benefits and international laws as standard for any action to protect national interests and help maintain peace and stability in the region and the world.

Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Vietnam’s Vice Minister for National Defence, said at the just concluded UN Chiefs of Defence Conference in New York on Friday. Vinh said after sending two officers to the UN Mission in South Sudan, more Vietnamese officers will join the mission in the Central African Republic and officially register to take part in the United Nations Standby Arrangement Systems (UNSAS).

On this occasion, Mr. Vinh worked with Herve Ladsous, under-Secretary-General for Peace-keeping operations and met with delegations from China, India, the US, Japan and New Zealand.
