Vietnam’s export-import turnover hit 157 billion USD in four months

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s export-import turnover totaled nearly 157 billion USD in the first four months of this year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO). Vietnam earned nearly 79 billion USD from its exports, up 5.8% year-on-year. Trade surplus in the reviewed period was more than 700 million USD.

16 Vietnamese exports earned more than one billion USD each. Products with earnings growth included electronics, computers, clothes, footwear, machinery, timber, wood products, and vehicles.

The US was Vietnam’s biggest importer, followed by the EU, China, ASEAN, South Korea, and Japan.

Meanwhile, Vietnam spent more than one billion USD each on 17 imports. China was Vietnam’s biggest exporter, followed by South Korea, ASEAN, Japan, EU, and the US.
