The general census’s initial results will be announced in July and official results will be released in the second quarter of 2020. The General Statistics Office will collect data on population, migration, marriages, birth and mortality rates, labor, employment, housing, and other issues. Head of the General Statistics Office Nguyen Bich Lam said: “We will provide passwords to respondents of online surveys. This will save time for the people and enable them to answer whenever they want. This form of questionnaires has been used widely in the world.”
