Vietnam’s national reunification day celebrated abroad

(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s Defense Attaché Office in Cuba and Cuba’s Ministry of Revolutionary Armed Forces co-organized an exhibition on the development of the Vietnam People’s Army. About 100 photos reflected the glorious history of the Vietnam People’s Army during the national resistance wars against foreign invaders. The exhibition lasts until May 7.

The Vietnamese Embassy in Bucharest and the Association of Vietnamese in Romania organized a meeting and sport activities to mark national reunification day, April 30th, and International Workers’ Day, May 1.

The Vietnamese Students’ Association in Rome, Italy, held a get-together to mark national reunification day for hundreds of overseas Vietnamese, students, and Italian friends. The event was also aimed to call for international support for Vietnam’s peace, stability, and development.

Secondary School 282 in central Moscow, Russia, celebrated Vietnam’s national reunification day. Representatives from the Vietnamese Embassy, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Organization, and Russian experts, who worked in Vietnam during wartime, helped the students understand more about this historical event 40 years ago.

Telesur, a Venezuelan TV channel, broadcast a documentary by journalist Vicent Montagud about Vietnam’s anti-American war and its consequences. The film features Vietnam’s major socio-economic achievements and comments that the Vietnamese nation can win in all circumstances with its extraordinary determination and will.
