Vietnamese Ambassador to India Ton Sinh Thanh said the event offers an opportunity for Indians to learn more about Vietnam, which welcomes  about 8 million foreign visitors each year.

Thanh said Vietnam is known to many Indians for its magnificent landscapes, Ha Long Bay, the Trang An complex, Phong Nha Cave, and well-preserved Hindu temples in Ho Chi Minh City and My Son sanctuary. He said he hopes Indian tour operators will expand their tour networks in Vietnam.

Several Vietnamese travel firms – Ben Thanh Tourist, Victoria Tours, the ICS Travel Group, and Vietnam Airlines – used the occasion to introduce their tours.
