VOV and All India Radio established relations in 2003 but have not reached their potential. Tien said he hoped the Indian ambassador would move VOV and Indian media agencies towards signing cooperative agreements in the near future: “Our focus is on radio and television. Vietnamese Television was established by the Voice of Vietnam. In this era of multimedia, we are developing two TV channels, one for information and entertainment, the other for National Assembly affairs and People’s Councils at all levels. Our National Assembly channel will begin its broadcasts this December. Therefore, we want to sign cooperative agreements with other countries’ broadcasting agencies.”

The Indian ambassador pledged to do her utmost to promote cooperation between VOV and Indian media organizations.
