Vu Lan festival celebration in Czech Republic

(VOVWORLD) -The 10th anniversary of the Vietnam Buddhist Followers’ Association in the Czech Republic, the Vu Lan Mother’s Day, and the Vietnamese Buddhist Culture Day were celebrated in Prague on Sunday.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of Vietnam Buddhist Shangha, Most Venerable Thich Bao Nghiem praised the effort of the Vietnamese Buddhist Followers’ Association in the Czech Republic for popularizing Buddhist teaching to the people: “Living in Vietnam or elsewhere, we are bound to each other for the compassion, harmony between religion and life, and humanism. That’s the morality of the Vietnamese and Buddhist followers throughout the 2,000 year development of Buddhism in Vietnam.”

Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Ho Minh Tuan said the Embassy have worked with the Overseas Vietnamese Association in the Czech Republic to build a united and integrated Vietnamese community who contribute to the homeland.
