War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day commemoration

(VOVworld) – On Sunday, Chairman of Hanoi’s People Committee Nguyen Duc Chung and leaders of the municipal agencies and organizations visited and presented gifts the relatives of martyrs who are being taken care of in sanatorium No2 in Vien An commune, Ung Hoa district, Hanoi.

This is part of activities to mark War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day July 27. Mr. Chung asked those working at the sanatorium to continue taking better care of the martyrs’ relatives and consider it their second home.

On Saturday night in Dong Loc T junction memorial site, Ha Tinh provincial Youth Union and the People’s Committee of Can Loc district joint held a candle-lighting ceremony to pay tribute to female young volunteers who laid down their lives in Dong Loc T junction.

The same day in Hanoi, the online Vietnam Communist Review, Vietnam Television and VTC media joint stock company organized the 9th art program entitled “Red flowers”. This is an annual program hosted by the online Vietnam Communist Review to honour policy beneficiaries, war invalids, martyrs’ families and revolutionary contributors.
