(VOVworld) - Ho Chi Minh City’s Party Committee Secretary Le Thanh Hai and other municipal leaders visited the city’s martyr cemetery on Sunday to pay tribute to war heroes and martyrs. They also visited Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ton Duc Thang Museum, and Ben Duoc-Cu Chi temple.
The same day, they attended a ceremony offering glutinous rice cakes to the Hung Kings, popularly known as the nation’s founders at the Hung Kings’ memorial area in the city. The cakes, which represent the southern people’s unique cultural identities, were selected from a Friday contest to choose the best cakes to offer to the Hung Kings.
