(VOVworld) – A workshop to recall Hanoi in war and peace time was held on Monday with the participation of scores of scientists and managers.

The event was organized by the Committee for Communication and Education of Hanoi’s Municipal Party Committee and Vietnam’s National University in Hanoi. The participants delivered 50 speeches about Hanoi’s struggles for national defense and its efforts to become the political, cultural and economic center of Vietnam. They also pointed out Hanoi’s strengths and potential for development. Professor Vu Khieu said: “It is necessary to focus on capital, technology and management. We need to exploit capital and acquire technology to boost our development. The most important thing is the managing role of the city leaders”.
