The organizing committee of the WEF ASEAN held their first meeting in Hanoi on Thursday under the chairmanship of Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son. Mr. Son, head of the committee, stressed that the event is one of the most important external activities for Vietnam in 2018. The meeting discussed coordination mechanisms between sub-committees, relevant ministries, departments and localities in preparation for the forum. Members also looked at plans to conduct security and logistics work to ensure the event’s success.
