World leaders send condolences to families of EgyptAir crash victims

(VOVworld) - Egyptian agencies have been investigating the information of smoke alerts inside the cabin of the EgyptAir passenger plane before it crashed in the Mediterranean on Thursday. The Wall Street Journal on Friday quoted a reliable source saying that automatic alert system detected smoke inside the aircraft cabin and some kind of technical faults.

On Friday, world leaders sent messages of condolences to families of the victims of flight MS804. US President Barack Obama and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon sent their deep sympathy to families of the victims and governments of the affected countries. They also thanked people involved in the search and investigation operation.
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi expressed his deep sympathy to relatives of the victims. He affirmed that an investigation is being conducted to find out the cause. US Secretary of State John Kerry told his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry that the US will assist Egypt to search the missing plane and investigate the incident.
