Yemen’s opposition factions agree on a peace talks roadmap

(VOVworld) - Yemen’s warring factions have agreed to an agenda for United Nations-backed peace negotiations. There has been an initial progress since negotiations were launched last week in Kuwait, which paves the way for intensive negotiations to end the conflict.

UN special envoy to Yemen, Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed, on Tuesday said the two negotiating delegations have agreed on an agenda for future negotiations on security, economics, and politics.
Comprehensive negotiations, which began on Wednesday, are based on the UN Security Council’s resolution 2216, the foundation for the peace talks in Yemen. Talks will continue until a comprehensive peace deal is reached.
