(VOVworld) – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has directed Yen Bai province to compile a dossier on the Xoe dancing of the Thai people to submit to the UNESCO for recognition as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The deadline for the dossier’s submission is March, 2018. According to culture researchers, Xoe dancing plays an important role in new year festivals and worshipping rituals of the Thai people.
