8 awards named after Ho Hao Hon, a revolutionary and the first Secretary of the Union, have been given to outstanding collectives and individuals in the city. Huynh Nguyen Ha, Secretary of the Youth Union of the Saigon Coop retail company, one of the awardees for its “mobile selling model”, said: “This model brings quality goods directly to consumers in remote areas. In the near future, we will apply this model in Vietnam’s northern islands.”

Youth Union celebrations included an Olympic Run Day for public health in the Central Highlands city of Da Lat and the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai and a gathering of 4,000 Youth Union members in the northern province of Phu Tho.
