Tran Ngoc Tuan has lived in Bashkortostan for nearly 30 years. An experienced investor in commercial centers and industrial production, Tuan decided to pour his money in agricultural cultivation.

Tuan was born in Thai Binh province, the granary of North Vietnam, and for him, agriculture is important: “I set up a farm in Bashkortostan 3 years ago, out of a great interest in agriculture. My 700-hectare farm is mainly used for growing wheat, breeding cows, sheep, and horses, producing organic agricultural products”.

Tuan manages to grow vegetables and breed cattle despite freezing weather. His farm has a heated water system and the cattle are fed with clean food. Tuan’s farm produce is certified as organic by the State Committee of the Republic of Bashkortostan on Trade and Consumer Protection. The farm receives a lot of orders from the Vietnamese community across Russia and has created jobs and stable income for many Vietnamese. Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan is one employee: “The work here is not too hard and pays quite well. Most are done by machines. The land is vast and grows different crops in each season”.

Nguyen Ngoc Xuan from Thai Binh province also works at the farm: “I have worked here for 3 years. Mr. Tuan has taught me how to do farm work from sowing and irrigating to feeding the cattle. The income is good - 3 to 4 times higher than in Vietnam”.

Tuan said he started his business not only to create income for himself, but also to help other Vietnamese and show how much the Vietnamese community contributes to Bashkortostan: “I want to apply science and technology to breeding dairy cows as demand for milk in Russia is growing sharply. I hope to receive more support from investors who are interested in agriculture and husbandry”.
