(VOVWORLD) - A new Hanoi exploration tour called "Bonbon Hanoi" or “Bonbon City Tour” gives visitors a real taste of the history and culture of Hanoi.

The Bonbon City Tour, offered by the Hanoitourist Travel Company in cooperation with the OPENSEA Company, operates on the Hop On - Hop Off model. You can board or exit at any point during the journey of the Bonbon tour bus, which can carry 22 people.

The tour operates from 9am to 4.30pm daily, with buses starting 30 to 35 minutes apart. The route includes stops at 9 famous Hanoi tourist destinations: Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Vietnam Women Museum, National Museum of History, Van Mieu, Long Bien Bridge, Tran Quoc Pagoda, and Hoe Nhai Pagoda. Nguyen Duc Hoa, Director of the OPENSEA Company, said: “The Bonbon City Tour aims to provide visitors with a great experience of Hanoi’s attractions as well as promote Hanoi’s tourism sector. The bus is decorated in Hanoi styles of different periods from the subsidy period to the renewal period in the 80s and 90s. Hanoi is known for its rich culture and history. Visitors glimpse the old Hanoi through vintage items such as old TVs, radios, lamps, fans, and blankets. This tour turns back time to a Hanoi of the past”.

Customers are given a mobile applications that provides information about the 9 stops in 5 languages: Vietnamese, English, French, Korean, and Chinese. Jenny, a visitor from the Phillipines, said: “I have a very nice experience with the Bonbon city tour bus. The bus is decorated to look like the subsidy style. It is cozy in the bus. You can smell the new cars. The staff are friendly and thoughtful. My most favourite part is that they have mobile application that shows the way to many places in the Old Quarter, including museums, I think some antique parts of Hanoi and restaurants. I actually follow one of the suggestions to Hanoi Gourmet restaurant, which is much better than I expected”.

Operators said the minimum fare for a trip was 350,000 VND (15 USD) per person, including admission, and discounted services at stops on the itinerary. Ha Trang from Dong Da district, Hanoi, said: “I think the Bonbon City Tour is a unique tourism product with distinctive buses. Visitors can go back to the Hanoi of the past just by taking this tour”.
