Exhibits were collected by organizations, individuals, and the National Archives of Vietnam. Many of the precious items were publicized for the first time.  They were divided into four periods of Thanh Hoa: the prehistoric period, the feudal and semi-feudal colonial period, the period of  struggle for national liberation and socialism construction from 1945 to 1975, and the renewal period. In addition to an indoor exhibition, photos and documents of Thanh Hoa province were displayed outdoors in chronological order along Le Loi avenue.

Bui Sy Lam of Hoang Hoa district said: “I came to this exhibition to better know about the history and development of Thanh Hoa province. It stirs up old memories which I also share with young people to enrich their knowledge of Thanh Hoa.”
