The 2-day event focused on solutions to improve tourism development capacity of TPO member cities. It also aims to help delegates develop initiatives and new strategies to promote the tourism sector’s development amidst the fourth industrial revolution. The forum will include two sessions on “Smart Tourism” and “Case Study Presentation by member cities on Smart Tourism”. Other programs will be the TPO Travel Trade exchange, a smart tourism exhibition, the TPO Bilateral Meeting, and the TPO Award.

"Asia Pacific countries have become HCMC’s important tourism markets. This forum is expected to further develop the city’s tourism and attract more visitors from those markets. We chose the theme “Smart Tourism” as we hope this will be a great occasion to introduce new smart tourism products and services of HCMC.", said Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa, Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh city’s Department of Tourism.
