More than 200 photos, documents, and objects on display depict the care of the Party, State, and late President Ho Chi Minh to generals of the Vietnam People’s Army in the resistance wars, and capture the generals in major fights and battle fields in the wars.

"I was very impressed with a report explaining why our southern people and soldiers won a great victory over the US invaders and the southern regime in the dry season of 1965-1966. The report looks very old with the handwriting of General Nguyen Chi Thanh . I can learn a lot more about how our generals led us to victory through this exhibition," said Tran Thi Thanh, a visitor of Ha Nam province.

War veteran Le Anh Tu was one of many visitors to the exhibition during the weekend. He told VOV: "They are great generals of our nation. We’re thankful to them who spent all their lives to liberate our country under the leadership of the Party and army, and allow us to live in peace and enjoy a comfortable life today."

The event marked the 74th founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 29th anniversary of All-people Defense Festival.
