Japanese investors seek business opportunities in Can Tho

(VOVWORLD) - 100 Japanese enterprises are seeking business opportunities in agriculture, industry, and logistics at the ongoing 4th Vietnam–Japan Culture and Trade Exchange in the Mekong Delta city of Can Tho.

Nguyen Phuong Lam, Deputy Head of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Can Tho, said the Mekong Delta has strong potential in agriculture, tourism, and food processing, while Japan is specialized in high technology and IT. He said: “Many Japanese enterprises specialized in civil engineering, transportation, and financial consulting have come here to research a new market. We have shown them the potential of the Mekong Delta and its population of 17 million people”.

The exchange has 120 booths showcasing Vietnamese and Japanese culture and products, a photo exhibition highlighting Japan’s support of Vietnam during the war, a workshop on promoting culture exchange and trade and investment cooperation between the Mekong Delta region and Japan, and an agriculture exhibition. There will also be a groundbreaking ceremony for the Vietnam-Japan Industrial Park in Can Tho.
