Mid-autumn festival held for disadvantaged children
(VOVWORLD) - Can Tho City has held a Mid-autumn festival for disadvantaged children. More than 100 HIV positive children have been presented gifts and joined performances on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn festival.
“I am very moved to receive the gifts. I promise to have better school performance”, said Huynh Van Phat of Can Tho province's Vinh Thanh district.
In Quang Ninh province, 5,000 presents were given to poor children locally. “I hope this humanitarian activity will help needy children and those in ethnic disadvantaged areas to feel the care of the whole society. This is a source of encouragement for them to strive more and turn their dreams into reality in studies and life”, said Vu Thi Dieu Linh, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ninh provincial Youth Union.
