(VOVworld)- The National Committee for Organizing Major Celebrations from 2014 to 2015 organized a general rehearsal of the meeting and parade to mark the 40th anniversary of southern liberation and national reunification.
A grand meeting and parade will be organized at Thong Nhat square in Ho Chi Minh City. It will include a performance and a parade that involves the participation of different forces of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, the Fatherland Front, social organizations and mass people.
The celebration will begin at 6:30 on April 30th.
The same day, Ho Chi Minh City’s People Committee inaugurated a project to build a Park of Monuments of Martyrs who laid down their lives to defend the Rach Chiec bridge in the Ho Chi Minh campaign. The Fatherland Front chapter in Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with witnesses to the 1975 Spring Victory.
On Saturday, Ho Chi Minh City’s Youth Union held a candle burning ceremony to pay tribute to war martyrs who sacrificed their lives for national independence and freedom.
