(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang has praised great achievements and contributions by the Hanoi University of Science and Technology to the country’s educational and training sector.

President Sang made the remark during his visit to the university on Tuesday on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day. He said the 11^th party congress resolution has encouraged the educational reform and scientific and technological development. President Sang said ‘In its development orientation and goals, Hanoi University of Science and Technology should do the utmost to become a center of excellence in training and scientific research in the region. In the multi-sectoral development orientation, the university should focus on potential areas and those it has advantage over to meet the country’s requirements and the global prospects. Besides, it’s necessary to improve the quality of training and scientific research.’

Sang called on the university to prioritize building teachers, educational staff, and leaders with a high quality of professionalism and morality.
