Vietnam’s field hospital ready for UN peacekeeping mission

(VOVWORLD) - Health workers at Vietnam’s field hospital on Saturday participated in a harsh weather maneuver in preparation for an upcoming UN test.

The hospital was tasked with ensuring logistic services, accommodation, health equipment, and transportation in case rapid response is required. 70 doctors also practiced how to deactivate lethal weapons and mines and treat tropical diseases.

Next Friday, a UN delegation will visit Vietnam to test the capability of this field hospital, which is expected to replace a UK field hospital in South Sudan next year.
