National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung and Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung answered a number of questions of concern to voters. Hoang Van Lan of Kon Tum province said: “The Prime Minister made a clear point on directions towards 2020 and 2030. He clarified issues concerning relations between Vietnam and China. I propose that the government research measures to improve its apparatus and maintain Vietnam’s peace and prosperity. Efforts should also be made to increase economic growth.”

Le Dinh Nhung of Dac Nong province said: “The answers from the National Assembly chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung were straight forward. I like his answers on power delegation and decentralization clarifying the responsibilities of each locality. The recruitment and appointment of competent employees are also of great importance.”

Phan Ngoc Lam of Lai Chau province said: “The Ministers and the Prime Minister were frank about what has been done and what has not been done. I agree with the Prime Minister’s answer regarding Vietnam’s multidimensional approach to poverty reduction in ethnic areas. The government should devise policies appropriate to each area.”
