(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has called on the Vietnam-Laos Friendship School to further improve its teaching and learning quality.

Addressing the opening of the school’s new academic year on Tuesday, Phuc underscored the importance of developing a group of dedicated teachers to promote national unity and the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.

He asked the school to renovate teaching methods and flexibly adjust its curriculum to match the local practical conditions and students’ awareness.

Known as the Friendship School T78, the school provides Vietnamese language training for Lao students and secondary education for ethnic pupils from 22 provinces in the northern mountain region.
