(VOVworld) - The People’s Police Academy needs to pay more attention to training its officials and teachers in professional knowledge and skills and scientific research, considering this the most important breakthrough of the current higher education reform.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the suggestion while attending a meeting to mark Vietnamese Teachers’ Day at the Academy in Hanoi on Thursday.

Mr. Phuc spoke highly of the outstanding achievements of generations of the Academy’s teachers in past years.

He urged the Academy to mobilize all resources to effectively implement the road map for making the Academy the Public Security Ministry’s key higher education institution.
