Chairing the 7th session of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption in Hanoi on Saturday, the Party leader reviewed the results of corruption prevention and combat in the first quarter of this year in all sectors including administrative reform, and the coordination of relevant agencies in the fight.

He asked the Committee to speed up communications and education on the fight against corruption, and fine-tune socio-economic management regulations and legal documents in accordance with the 2013 Constitution. Mr. Trong said: “We need to take drastic anti-corruption measures based on our current plans, programs, and cooperative mechanisms.  All agencies and sectors have to exert greater efforts. It’s important to take immediate actions once specific tasks have been identified. The Committee on Anti-corruption needs to enhance its role in supervising and boosting the implementation of these measures.”

The Party leader assigned the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs to map out measures to deal with petty corruption, and to work closely with members of the Steering Committee to supervise the implementation of approved missions.
