Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung receives Seychelles President James Alix Michel

(VOVworld) - Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has hailed the important of talks between  Seychelles President James Alix Michel and his Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang and newly signed cooperative documents.

During a meeting in Hanoi on Thursday, the Prime Minister expressed his hope that the visit will open a new chapter of bilateral cooperation and thanked Seychelles government for its recognition of Vietnam’s market economic status. President Michel expected Vietnam to become a gateway to boost its trade relations with the ASEAN, saying that his country is willing to do the same for Vietnamese exports to Africa.

At the end of Seychelles President’s visit to Vietnam, both sides issued a joint declaration of outcomes of the visit, confirming bilateral determination to boost bilateral ties and exchange of high level visits as well as economic, cultural and social cooperation. They agreed on future cooperation in international fora and shared a common view to boost green economy, sustainable development, food security and clean energy.
