(VOVworld) – Cabinet members discussed a draft ordinance on the government’s working regulations at a monthly government meeting for August on Wednesday.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said the issuance of the regulations was necessary to make sure the government apparatus responds in timely fashion to national issues:“It’s important to publicize all activities of the government so that the people know what the government is doing and how it is working. Any conclusions by the government and Prime Minister should be publicized for the people to monitor and give feedback."

The Prime Minister pointed out weaknesses in coordination between ministries and sectors, the implementation of the government working programs, and the mapping out of working programs for the government and the Prime Minister.  Mr. Phuc said:“Officials should not pass their problems onto the Prime Minister or Deputy Prime Minister to solve. Ministers should be responsible for what is not done under their authority. The Government Office and Ministers need to review meeting agendas and decisions made after each meeting. The meeting’s results should be publicized so as to meet the citizens’ aspirations.
