(VOVworld) – Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan met with former female political prisoners during the anti-American war in Ho Chi Minh city on Monday.


She acknowledged their contributions to the national resistance war and in peacetime. Ms. Doan said that the nation is facing various opportunities and challenges which needed the contributions of the former prisoners.

She urged them to promote their revolutionary heroism by assisting their unfortunate comrades and passing the revolutionary tradition on to the younger generation.
