(VOVworld)- The Ministry of Health organized a ceremony to mark the 60^th anniversary of Vietnam Physicians Day on Friday. In her speech, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien highlighted the tradition of the health sector: “Over the past 60 years of following President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings, the health sector has done its utmost to overcome numerous difficulties to fulfill its tasks. We consider our job of taking care for people’s health an honor and responsibility. We always try our best to improve our profession and devote to patients”.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam presented the Health Sector with Independence Order First Class. He urged the sector to continue reforming to better care for people’s health.

The same day, the Vietnam Medical-Pharmaceutical Association in Russia held a meeting to mark the occasion. In his address, Pham Duc Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Vietanmese Party Committee in Russia said:“I really hope that the Vietnam Medical-Pharmaceutical Association in Russia, as a united organization will further develop to better serve the Vietnamese community here”.

On the occasion, the Association presented awards to 6 outstanding Vietnamese.
