At a Wednesday reception for the Vietnamese delegation, the Right Honorable George Howarth MP, Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) for Vietnam, said the group will ask the UK government to enhance relations with Vietnam and will continue raising their voice to support Vietnam on East Sea issues. He pledged support for Vietnam at the European Parliament and asked Vietnam to back the UK in any international issues.

Nguyen Van Giau said the newly established Vietnam-UK Friendship Parliamentarian Group will spare no effort, together with the APPG, to foster bilateral ties between Vietnam and the UK.

During the visit, the Vietnamese delegation met with British parliamentarians who will attend the 132nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union scheduled for next March in Hanoi, and held working sessions with the Vietnam - UK Network and authorities in the Scottish parliament.
