(VOVworld)- Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro Moros and his wife are in Vietnam for an official visit from August 30th to August 31st. President Truong Tan Sang and President Nicolas Maduro Moros held talks on Monday after the welcoming ceremony.

During the talks, the Venezuelan President affirmed that the Venezuelan government paid special importance to this visit and had worked out an ambitious working plan to raise bilateral ties in all areas. President Moros said that Venezuela was interested in Vietnam’s lessons learned from 30 years of renovation. He expressed his support for Vietnam in multi-lateral forums, international organizations and Vietnam’s memberships in UN agencies, the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the 2016-2018 term. The Venezuelan President also said he hoped involved parties in the East Sea would find prompt solutions to all problems on the basis of friendship.
President Truong Tan Sang said Vietnam was ready to share with Venezuela’s lessons of its success as well as difficulties in changing growth models and carrying out renovation. President Sang thanked the Venezuelan government for supporting Vietnam at multilateral forums, the UN, the Non- Aligned Movement, and the East Asia- Latin America Cooperation Forum.
After the talks, the two Presidents held a press conference. President Sang promised to create the best conditions to boost comprehensive partnership between the two countries. He said: “We agree to improve the efficiency of current cooperative mechanisms. Ministries and sectors from both countries will review and supplement agreements to attune a bilateral legal framework. Two governments will offer favorable conditions for their businesses to carry out cooperative projects, particularly in energy, petroleum, construction, and agriculture. I believe that the President’s fruitful visit to Vietnam will improve both countries’ relationship to meet the aspirations of our peoples and contribute to global peace and development.”
President Nicolas Maduro Moros expressed his respect for Vietnam’s struggle for national liberation and the current national construction.
President Truong Tan Sang and President Maduro Moros witnessed the signing of agricultural cooperation agreements from 2015 to 2018.
At a meeting with the Venezuelan President, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung urged both countries to increase information exchanges, accelerate the implementation of signed agreements, and improve the legal framework for bilateral cooperation. Prime Minister Dung expected both countries will support each other at regional and global forums, particularly at the UN. President Nicolas Maduro Moros expressed his respect for cooperation with Vietnam in all sectors. Both leaders shared a view to resolve East Sea disputes by peaceful measures based on international law for peace, security and safety of navigation in the East Sea.
The same day, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu trong met with President Maduro Moros.
