Activities to mark 60th ceremony of the Vietnamese Physicians’ Day

(VOVworld) – On Friday, representatives of the Ministry of Health visited Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, as part of activities to mark 60th anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians’ Day, on February 27th. Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien said Ho Chi Minh President’s teaching and words in a letter to a conference of the health sector on February 27, 1955 were valuable and served as the lodestar for Vietnam’s health sector: “Ho Chi Minh President’s teachings is still important and relevant to the present time, especially regarding the solidarity and concern of the doctors. The health staff continues to study and follow the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh to further their expertise and improve their medical ethics”.

On the same day, a traditional house was inaugurated at the Hanoi University of Pharmacy to honor healthcare staff. Within the house, there are intact items belonging to the late President Ho Chi Minh and the ex and former Health Ministers, as well as a number of historic documents and images recording the sector’s growth through various historical stages.
