Quang Tri also promoted communications on Vietnam’s sovereignty over the archipelagoes and role models for economic development and protecting the marine environment. Ha Sy Dong, Vice Chairman of Quang Tri province’s People’s Committee, said: “Vietnam Sea and Islands Week, themed “For the future of the next generation”, calls for communal efforts to protect the marine environment. During the week, local authorities and agencies will conduct communications campaigns on sea and island policies and laws and the role and potential of sea and islands in national development”.

During Vietnam Sea and Islands Week 2017, Da Nang City is calling on local people to protect the marine environment and respond to a clean-up campaign on Sunday.
