The Brothers Grimm’s fairy-tale films to be screened on VOVTV

(VOVworld) – VOV will cooperate with the Goethe Institute to launch a German-Vietnamese fairy-tale multimedia project in celebration of International Children’s Day on June 1st.

Ten selected fairy-tale films by the Brothers Grimm will be shown every weekend on VOV’s television channel until early August.

At a press conference at VOV’s headquarters on Thursday, Michael Flucht, deputy director of the Goethe Institute, said:

We’re glad to see the multimedia project in cooperation with VOV has been carried out successfully. We think that fairy tales are popular among all age groups enchanting the young and the old in families. Fairy tales also make human creativity and imagination more abundant and boosts understanding between different cultures.  As a result, we’d like to thank VOV for the cooperation to implement the project.

The ten films will include Cinderella, the Wishing-Table, Snow White, the Frog-Prince, Puss in Boots, and Sleeping Beauty.

This year, Vietnam and Germany mark 40 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties.
