VOV holds get-together with Japanese audience, artists
(VOVWORLD) -VOV World Service held a get-together with Japanese audience and artists in Hanoi on Wednesday.

They have been members of a radio listeners club loyal to Voice of Vietnam since 1970 and composers of anti-war songs. Deputy Director of VOV World Service, Do Thai Hung, was appreciative of Japanese support to peace movements for Vietnam: “We applaud Japanese sentiments to Vietnam during wartime and the current national construction. We wish the listeners’ club will continue to keep close contact with VOV programs.”

Composer Onishi Susumu was pleased to return to Vietnam after nearly 50 years: “I am delighted to return to Vietnam and sing songs about Vietnam. This is my life-long wish. It is great to meet many young Vietnamese who speak Japanese. I hope that we will join efforts for a world of peace.”
At the event, the Japanese artists sang songs of the 1960s and 1970s which oppose war, cherish peace, and praise the Vietnam-Japan friendship.
