Chairman of the Nghe An provincial People’s Council and Head of the provincial election council, Nguyen Xuan Son, said that election preparation has been in place in line with the law. Son said, ‘The province has enforced election regulation in earnest throughout all preparation, including the setting up of assistant committees, consultative workshops, monitoring, nomination, communication, security and order, complaint and denunciation. The first round of consultation has been completed with the structure and number of candidates in compliance with the law.”

Preparations for the elections have been ensured in other cities and provinces so that the official list of candidates will be announced on April 28th and the National Assembly and People’s Council elections will take place on May 23rd.
