(VOVWORLD) - Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s recently released book “Several theoretical and practical issues of socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam” has drawn special attention from political scientists, theorists, Party officials and members, and the public. The book’s arguments for socialism and the path toward socialism clarify the nature and core values of socialism in terms of Party building, political, economic, cultural, and social aspects, national defense, security, and diplomacy.

According to Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council and Director of the HCM National Academy of Politics, Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong is not only the highest leader of the Communist Party of Vietnam but also a major political scientist and theorist of the Party.
In the last two years, the Party leader has published 6 books which embody profound theoretical and practical values of Party building and determination to combat corruption. The book “Several theoretical and practical issues of socialism and the path toward socialism in Vietnam” develops and deepens his previous research.
President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Phuong Nga says the Party leader’s book deepens and enriches theories of scientific socialism and Vietnam’s path toward socialism in the international archives of socialism theories.
Ms. Nga said the Party leader’s viewpoints have been welcomed by foreign researchers and friends.
Ms. Nga said: "With his dedication, the Party leader who is also an outstanding theorist of the Party created a holistic, profound, and strongly appealing publication. The book creates a motivation for the public and increases their trust in the path to socialism chosen by the Party and State. It is a continuation and creative application of Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh Thoughts in Vietnam’s revolution."
Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong’s 29 articles and speeches are appealing for being scientific, practical, and persuasive, crystalizing wisdom, and reflecting dedication, personality, and the noble lifestyle of the Party leader.
Deputy Director of the Academy of Politics of the Ministry of National Defense Dang Sy Loc said the book is a theoretical and practical foundation to improve the teaching and research of social sciences and humanity.
"The book embraces great value. It is the foundation to consolidate the Party’s ideological front in the army and the fight against hostilities and peaceful evolution plans. The book’s arguments about socialism and the path to socialism are sharp tools to combat false viewpoints and protect Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thoughts, and Party guidelines," said Mr Loc.
The book continues to develop and enrich views on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam.
