(VOVWORLD) - Under the enchanting theme "A Symphony of Colors", the highly-anticipated flower festival opened on Thursday night at Lam Vien Square in Da Lat city, Lam Dong province. This event affirms Da Lat's status as Vietnam's "Flower Festival City," UNESCO's "Creative City of Music," and one of Asia's most impressive festival cities.

This year's festival is grander than ever. It will span nearly an entire month from December 5 to December 31—expanding its traditional 1–2 week format. Its 50 activities – floral exhibitions, cultural performances, music concerts, trade fairs, and seminars – will entertain crowds of domestic and international visitors.
For many, the Da Lat Flower Festival holds a special place in their hearts. A local attendee shared his excitement:
“Every time there’s a Da Lat Flower Festival, I feel very excited. I hope visitors will enjoy the beautiful flowers and the warmth and hospitality of local people.”
An international tourist echoed this sentiment, marveling at Da Lat's charm: “I love the nature in Da Lat—the landscapes and the wonderful people. This festival is a must-see, and I can’t wait to return soon.”

The festival will include the Da Lat Fun Color Music Festival, the Lam Dong Trail Race, the Lang Biang Pink Grass Festival, the Flower and Heritage Street Carnival, the OCOP Product Exhibition and Trade Fair, and many local craft items and food specialties, including tea, coffee, and wine. These events strengthen the community bond and honors local flower horticulture.
Pham S, Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong provincial People’s Committee, said: “All the gates to Lam Dong province are decorated with posters promoting the flower festival. This year’s festival is more spectacular than ever in its format, activities, and stage sizes. The music program has drawn many international artists”
3,000 local accommodation establishments have prepared 40,000 rooms for visitors. Le Tang Trong Nghia, Director of the Viettravel Da Lat Company, said: “We’re offering special promotions during the festival. With many new features this year, we hope to give tourists a fresh perspective on Da Lat.”
More than a celebration of flowers, the 10th Da Lat Flower Festival is a convergence of culture, tourism, and trade. It honors the region's rich heritage and drives sustainable development for Lam Dong province.
