(VOVWORLD) - The 30th Diplomatic Conference opened in Hanoi on Monday. One of its four main aims is seeking ways the diplomatic sector can better help Vietnamese enterprises solve the problems of international integration.

Under the theme “Vietnamese diplomacy: Proactivity, creativity, efficiency, and successful implementation of the 12th National Party Congress resolution”, the conference will discuss ways to strengthen the diplomatic sector and boost international economic integration.

Vietnam has established strategic and comprehensive partnerships with 27 countries and signed 16 free trade agreements, a the firm political, economic, and legal foundation that gives Vietnamese enterprises equal trade opportunities in the international market. High-level visits have resulted in Vietnamese businesses’ frequent participation in economic forums and the subsequent signing of contracts worth billions of USD.

But businesses are also the first to be exposed to the risks of the international economic integration including the 4th industrial revolution, the sharing economy, e-commerce, startups, and smart products. The 16 signed free trade agreements with 59 partners have forced Vietnamese enterprises to find a way to take advantage of them.

Vietnamese ambassador to the US Ha Kim Ngoc said: “The Trump administration has made changes in US trade policy. We hope to maintain a favorable environment for bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment. We have made efforts to boost bilateral ties and uphold Vietnam’s role and prestige in the Asia-Pacific region. We want to create conditions that help Vietnamese enterprises.”

The Vietnamese Embassy in Japan is promoting Vietnam’s relationship with Japan and creating a favorable trade environment to help for Vietnamese enterprises penetrate Japan. Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong said: “The relationship between Vietnam and Japan is at its best. The better bilateral ties are, the more opportunities the two countries’ enterprises have. Once the Comprehensive and Progressive Trans Pacific Partnership Agreement takes effect, we will have great opportunities because most agro products exported to the Japanese market will enjoy zero percent tax.”

Thanks to their close coordination with diplomatic agencies, Vietnamese businesses have sustained their growth. Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the TH True Milk Group Ngo Minh Hai said: “The Vietnamese diplomatic sector has helped us through our development period. They supported us in our early days seeking appropriate technology and partners in Israel. TH True Milk now markets its products and brands in overseas markets.”
