Foreign diplomats impressed with 13th National Party Congress

(VOVWORLD) - The ongoing 13th National Party Congress is an important political event and important milestone during the development process of the Party and Vietnam. Foreign ambassadors and diplomats have acknowledged Vietnam’s achievements in socio-economic development and successful containment of the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as believed in the results of the National Party Congress.

Palestinian Ambassador to Vietnam Saadi Salama said he has had the honor of attending the opening and closing sessions of three National Congresses of the Communist Party of Vietnam. He closely follows the situation in Vietnam and is delighted with Vietnam’s accomplishments. He said he believes the 13th National Party Congress will steer Vietnam to more successes.

Charge d'affaires of the Cuban Embassy in Vietnam Irmina Perojo Bellido de Luna applauded Vietnam’s socio-economic development and containment of the coronavirus pandemic under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

“Vietnam has organized the Party Congress after a year full of difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I feel safe living and working in Vietnam while other countries are struggling against the pandemic. I believe that the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam will be a success and will contribute to making Vietnam a developed socialist country,” she said.

Laotian Ambassador to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuang said that over the past 90 years, the Communist Party of Vietnam has led the Vietnamese people to national independence and reunification, and will lead Vietnam’s national defense and construction. He said the Communist Party of Vietnam has democratically prepared for the 13th Congress by collecting the opinions of researchers, cadres, party members, and the public.
