Companies in Vinh Phuc province have implemented effective disease control plans to prevent the spread of the coronavirus among workers. Since early 2020, local businesses have ensured safety against COVID-19. Companies like Honda Vietnam and the Vietnam Precision Industrial Company have conducted random testing of workers and contractors and strictly following quarantine regulations for migrant workers.

In Tien Giang province, there are 186 businesses employing 110,000 workers in local industrial parks, said Nguyen Nhat Truong, Head of the Industrial Park Management Authority. 76 of them with 17,000 workers have adopted the “three on the spot” strategy (eating meals, sleeping and working on site).  More than 700 businesses in the province have resumed operation under strict disease prevention measures. The province has issued several plans to help businesses recover in the “new normal” period and accelerate vaccination of workers.

Bac Ninh province is setting up centers to receive and treat COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms from local businesses and factories. This effort will help businesses recover their activities and prevent supply chain disruptions and safely, flexibly adapting to the pandemic. Bac Ninh also asked local businesses to arrange certain areas capable of receiving at least 10% of their workers, who might contract coronavirus but have no symptoms.

The businesses are also required to increase their medical capacity as regulated. They are encouraged to conduct testing of workers, buy more medical equipment like ambulances, thermometers, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and facemasks, and coordinate with relevant agencies to treat contaminated waste.
